Our healthcare system is at risk of becoming less public and more private. We are seeing more and more examples of people having to pay for certain medical services that were previously free, or cases where access to good quality healthcare comes at a cost. This situation is the result of budget cuts to the healthcare system and a vision of what constitutes a full range of healthcare options. Sonia will participate in this public roundtable, organized by the Café de l’Université de la rue de Concordia in collaboration with the Tiger Lotus cooperative, to discuss our healthcare options and how this change affects our communities.
